Keys of the Divide

This is a story mission for an OPR Age of Fantasy Game. 

For centuries, two ancient Wards have stood as twin sentinels — great mythical barriers that mirror one another across the no-man’s-land between two empires. No army has crossed them without being unmade by their opposing magics.

But now, two fabled artifacts have resurfaced: the Twin Sigils of Passage. Forged in an age before either realm claimed dominion, each Sigil holds a fragment of the other’s power. When brought together, they unravel the wards for only a fleeting span — long enough for an army to surge through the shimmering rift and plunge deep into enemy soil.

Both realms know the truth: possessing a Sigil means the difference between holding your borders and watching them burn. The very air between the barriers shimmers with restless magic. The race is not simply to strike first… but to claim the keys that will open the way, even if only for moments.
